Waxing

Waxing is the popular treatment of removing hair using wax. While results vary, typically waxing results last much longer than shaving.

Please note that hair should be 1/4 inch long prior to waxing for best results.

• What to expect during your waxing treatment?

  • During your treatment, the area to be waxed is cleansed. Hot wax from our waxing pot is then spread on the area and a strip is placed over the wax. When the strip is removed, the hair is removed as well.

  • Safety is important to us! That is why, at Self, you will find that we use a new stick EVERY time we dip into the waxing pot to get wax.

• Aftercare

  • Avoid touching the waxed area due to open follicles

  • Avoid sun exposure

  • Avoid baths, swimming, and hot tubs. You can shower.

  • Avoid irritating the waxed area: no hot yoga, no saunas, and no sexual interactions.

  We counsel you on aftercare following your waxing treatments.
