We use the Excel HR from Cutera for our laser hair removal treatments. The Excel HR is a top of the line, state of the art device. It has a cooling window, which cools the skin before, during, and after each laser pulse. This creates a more comfortable experience for you!

At Self, we want our clients to be happy and satisfied with the results of their procedures. That means we want to achieve MAXIMUM hair removal for you! If, after 8 treatments, you find that the hair has not been fully removed, up to 2 touch ups can be booked AT NO EXTRA COST to you for up to a year following your 8th treatment!

*touch-ups can booked for up to a year following the 8th laser hair removal treatment. According to the Canadian Dermatology Association, any hair that grows in the area after 1 year is considered new hair growth and can result from factors such as age, hormones, medical conditions, etc.

WHAT IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL?

Laser hair removal uses laser technology to selectively target hair follicles and prevent the regrowth of hair by disabling the follicles. This can only occur while hair is in the growth, or anagen, phase. Multiple treatments are required as not all hair is in the same phase of growth at the same time. Everyone is different and the number of treatments required varies. 

We offer laser hair removal using the excel HR system from Cutera. This system offers 2 wavelengths to choose from, enabling us to treat multiple skin types. The excel HR offers a superior client experience as it cools before, during, and after treating an area.

*you should avoid uv exposure for at least 3 weeks prior to being treated.

*if you typically wax or pluck, hair should be regrown prior to being treated.
