What is an Eyelash Lift and Tint?
An eyelash lift and tint is a cosmetic treatment that enhances the natural lashes by curling and tinting them. The process involves using a special solution to lift the lashes from the root, creating a natural-looking curl. Then, a semi-permanent dye is applied to the lashes to darken them, giving the appearance of wearing mascara without the need for daily application. The result is longer-looking, fuller lashes that can last up to 6-8 weeks.
What to Expect During the Procedure
During an eyelash lift and tint procedure, your technician will first clean your lashes and apply a silicone shield to your eyelid. They will then use a special adhesive to attach your lashes to the shield, lifting them upwards. Next, a perming solution will be applied to your lashes to set the lift. After the lift is complete, a tint will be applied to darken and enhance your lashes. The entire process typically takes around 45 minutes to an hour.
Aftercare Tips for Long-lasting Results
After your eyelash lift and tint procedure, it’s important to follow some aftercare tips to ensure your results last as long as possible. Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after the procedure, and avoid using any oil-based products on your lashes for the first 48 hours. Be gentle when removing makeup and avoid rubbing your eyes. Also, avoid using a lash curler as it can damage the lift. With proper aftercare, your lifted and tinted lashes can last up to 6-8 weeks.
